Frozen Tahini Fudge

Forever I struggle with my love for sweets. Chocolate, pastries, ice-cream, decadent cream based desserts, I think I would never give them up FOREVER. But there is so much content out there for alternatives and I am giving them a good try.

One that I just recently attempted to try is Tahini Fudge, but as I was making it I decided to add a twist, and make it a FROZEN TAHINI FUDGE.

1 cup tahini ( paste from ground sesame seeds, in case anyone is wondering what the heck is tahini)

1/4 cup of melted coconut oil

2 packets of Stevia ( you can use maple  syrup, liquid stevia or any other sweetener)

Small handful of semisweet or dark chocolate chips

couple of spoonfuls of unsweetened Cacao or Cocoa powder.

1 cup of Greek yogurt.

HOW TO –  mix all the ingredients, make sure the mixture of tahini and coconut oil is not hot when you add the yogurt, as it might curdle the dairy. Prepare a brownie pan or glass dish ( around 9″x9″) lined with parchment paper and pour the mixture in it. Smooth and freeze. Once frozen ( i waited overnight)  I broke it up with my hands, the pieces are uneven and random but oh so delicious. I store them in the freezer in a tight container. It is a perfect treat, it’s sweet, very rich, as it is mostly made of fat, but good fat. Think of tahini as a nut butter, coconut oil is obviously an oil, but it is all good fat. There is no processed crap in it or bad sugars.

I hope you love it as much as I do and at night when you feel the urge to splurge and ruin your healthy habits, you can have a few bites of this instead and feel good about your choices of treats.
